Thanks to everyone who came down to Band Pro’s Burbank Headquarters on Thursday 1/23 for our free LED lighting workshop hosted by DP Robert Draper, ACS.
Rob has worked worldwide on Features, Mini Series, TV docs, TV Commercials and Music Videos. He has worked for every major Hollywood studio and US TV Network claiming multiple Awards in both Australia and the United States. Over the past 20 years he has inspired cinematographers worldwide as a dynamic instructor at workshops, and as a consultant, on the art of film lighting.
All-in-all it was a very informative event. Rob gave us a real in-depth look at his approach to lighting for television and cinema, including an overview of what constitutes dramatic lighting (with examples from master painters, through to practical applications for today's aquisition needs). The newest LED technology from Fill-Lite and Dracast was on display, and hands on Q&A time was provided.
