On June 6th the ASC Clubhouse hosted Band Pro - Angenieux Americas for an in-depth presentation of Angenieux’s complete cine lens line including Optimo Primes & custom look IOP, the new U35/FF Optimo Ultra Compact zooms, Optimo Ultra 12x, and Type EZ zooms.
Part of the ASC's International Summit, the event was attended by delegates representing more than 30 cinematographer societies from around the world together with local ASC member DPs. Angenieux Deputy Managing Director Dominique Rouchon joined Band Pro's CTO Randy Wedick on the presentation stage.
Band Pro's new 8K short film 'Make Believe' was screened, introduced by Band Pro President and CEO Amnon Band, and followed by a live Q&A moderated by Band Pro's Tim Smith with the film makers, Richard Crudo ASC, Sam Nicholson ASC, and Randy Wedick.
Production support was provided by Sony and Keslow Camera to help prep the Billy's Bar for use as a live set with two Venice 2 cameras and Optimo Primes customized with the latest IOP internal filtration look flavors. ASC’s clubhouse Board Room housed all of Angenieux's lenses, with live Optimo Primes IOP customization demos by Band Pro's Chief Optical Officer Emin Nalbandian and Lens Tech Ronald Monte.
