Thanks to everyone who made it to Band Pro's Canon Sumire Primes Workshop on Thursday 9/26 at Band Pro's Burbank HQ!
Canon's Los Angeles Pro Market Rep, Peter Marr, was on hand to answer questions and go in-depth on the new full frame Canon Sumire Prime lenses and discussed the full Cinema EOS line of cameras and glass currently available. Band Pro's Senior Technical Consultant Randy Wedick discussed his recent Sumire lens test and gave his impressions of the set's overall look and performance.
The new Canon C500MKII camera was covered, with Randy and Peter deep diving into the specs and answering questions as they came up.
Also on hand was Sebastian Lumme from Cmotion who demo'd the new cPRO follow focus system.
Thanks again to everyone who stopped by. If you couldn't make it, here's some photos from the day.

Canon Sumire Prime Lenses
Designed for use with large-sensor cinema cameras, including 35mm full-frame cameras such as the Canon EOS C700FF, the Sumire Primes set comprises of the following focal lengths: 14mm, 20mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm.
The lenses feature an 11-bladed iris and bright T-stops that allow users to capture natural images with a circular-like bokeh from both maximum to minimum aperture. The use of an odd number of iris blades also helps to diffuse light rays and produce a more cinematic look with warmer colors. The lenses also achieve uniform color balance throughout the lineup.
C-Motion cPRO
cPRO is cmotion`s most advanced lens control system offering wireless focus, iris and zoom control like never before.
Ready to use kits consist of an ergonomic and intuitive cPRO hand unit paired with either a cPRO motor or cPRO camin, all equipped with the latest cmotion RF module. The LBUS interface not only allows the system to be expanded by simply connecting cforce mini / cforce plus motors for up to 3 axis control, but also accessories such as cmotion’s cfinder III to enable fast pinpoint autofocus.
After an in-depth and enthusiastic presentation to the Technical Award Jury in Hollywood at the beginning of June, cPRO received this years` Cine Gear Award.
