Glasses-Free 3D Monitor

Marshall Electronics has quietly introduced a first-of-its-kind monitor that displays a 3D image without the use of passive or active glasses.

At IBC 2011, accessory innovators 16x9 Inc. introduced their new universal baseplate system, the Cine Base M15. The Cine Base combines a camera spacer, 15mm rod support (rods included), and a sliding dovetail plate into the most modular small camera support system available, and all for under $1200.

Codex Digital has announced plans to support the workflow of Aaton's Delta Penelope digital cinema camera by allowing the camera files to be ingested from the Deltapacks to the upcoming Codex Vault.

The Cine Lens Mount from 16x9 Inc., which allows the use of professional PL mount cinema lenses on smaller cameras, was shown at IBC 2011. Unique about the 16x9 lens mount is the ability to change the camera-side mount (from E to Micro 4/3) using a screwdriver and the included set of shims.

Codex Digital and P+S Technik have announced a collaboration based around P+S's new camera, the PS-Cam X35. Images from the X35 can be recorded onto a Codex Onboard and from there smoothly integrated into the existing and robust Codex file-based workflow.

Codex Digital announced at IBC 2011 that thier popular Onboard Recorder for ARRIRAW, available through Band Pro, will now be capable of capturing the ARRI Alexa's raw output at up to 60 fps.

At IBC 2011, Stefan Weiss of Weisscam brought along a prototype of his new camera, the T-Cam. For those of you who have been "Following the T" since it's first debuted at Cinec 2010, Weiss demonstrated a working model with a 2/3" sensor capable of 350 fps.
